
Raipur, / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today visited Kendudihi village in Sundargarh district, Odisha, to attend the condolence meet of Late Mrs. Jhingiya Oraon, wife of Union Tribal Affairs Minister Mr. Jual Oraon. Chief Minister offered floral tributes at the portrait of Late Mrs. Jhingiya Oraon and expressed his condolences to Shri Jual Oraon and his family.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that when Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the Prime Minister in 1999, he established the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for the first time, appointing Shri Jual Oraon as its inaugural minister. Recalling his close association with Shri Oraon, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Shri Jual Oraon has always been like an elder brother to him. He further mentioned that during his tenure as a Member of Parliament, Shri Oraon allocated significant funds for various developmental projects in his parliamentary constituency.
While paying homage to late Mrs. Jhingiya Oraon, Chief Minister acknowledged the crucial role of a spouse in any individual’s success. He acknowledged that the public welfare work undertaken by Shri Jual Oraon in recent years always had the active support of his wife.
The event was also attended by Chhattisgarh’s Minister of Agriculture and Tribal Welfare, Shri Ramvichar Netam, and former Minister, Ms Lata Usendi, who accompanied the Chief Minister.
