*Shri Tokhan Sahu Welcomes 100 Young Leaders from Chhattisgarh at New Delhi Residence*
*Youth of Chhattisgarh Are No Longer On
The Margins But Are Emerging As The Driving Force of Viksit Bharat : Shri Sahu*
*New Delhi, *Shri Tokhan Sahu, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, today welcomed the 100 Young Leaders from Chhattisgarh selected for the prestigious “Viksit Bharat: Young Leader Dialogue 2026” at his residence in New Delhi.
The gathering brought together a vibrant contingent from Chhattisgarh, including 30 participants from the Cultural Track, 45 participants from the Challenge Track across 10 diverse themes, along with Pathbreakers, My Bharat Volunteers, and State officials, reflecting the diversity, talent, and rising aspirations of the youth of the state.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Sahu extended a warm welcome noting that the spirit and strength of Chhattisgarh—from the valleys of Bastar to the hills of Surguja, and from the banks of the Mahanadi to the plains of Raipur-Bilaspur—was vividly present in Delhi.
Quoting Swami Vivekananda’s words, “Give me 100 energetic young men and I shall transform India,” he called the assembled youth a living reflection of that vision. Reiterating Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of youth-led nation building, Shri Sahu emphasized the Prime Minister’s unwavering faith in the talent and potential of the youth. He also noted that under the Modi-led government the state is witnessing a decisive shift, where Naxalism is steadily retreating and innovation is gaining ground, while transformative initiatives such as Digital India have empowered even young citizens from the most remote corners to voice their ideas, showcase their capabilities, and engage confidently on national and global platforms.
Highlighting the significance of the Delhi visit, Shri Sahu said the young leaders had come not merely as visitors, but as brand ambassadors of Chhattisgarh, adding that the youth of Chhattisgarh are no longer on the margins but are emerging as the driving force of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. He urged them to carry back the experiences of the national capital and the Prime Minister’s mantra of “Nation First”, and to channel their intelligence and skills to transform the state’s abundant resources into lasting value.
Invoking Swami Vivekananda’s call “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached” Shri Sahu encouraged the youth to aim for making Chhattisgarh one of the most developed states in the country. He assured them that there would be no limits to their aspirations and that the government would stand firmly with them in every dream they pursue.
The young leaders expressed their sincere gratitude to Shri Tokhan Sahu for the warm reception and inspiring address. They shared their experiences from the Young Leader Dialogue and thanked the leadership for providing them with a platform to contribute meaningfully to the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
